Our next stop was the Clay Mine Train. One of the biggest natural resources for this area was hard red clay. Dad and the kids rode on the original train into the actual mine. We also got to ride on a lift to the top of village hill overlooking the beautiful English countryside.
We had lovely lunch in the local food tent and when we walked out their were traditional Victorian Christmas carolers serenading us.
There were ruins of an iron works on the property that were beautiful. They also kind of look like faces don't they?
